Lead Instructor:  Michelle Meadows

I'm totally and completely addicted to Zumba!!! I've been teaching Zumba at FirstHealth on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for the last three years (and counting)... Zumba brings energy, smiles, and laughter into my life in a way I could never have imagined. The best part? Anyone can Zumba... all you have to do is show up, smile, shake whatever you've got, and hopefully, sweat a bit! Our motto is ‘What happens in Zumba, stays in Zumba’! All fitness and experience levels are welcome and encouraged.

Ditch the workout. Join the party!!!!!!

Bud Hunter and Nanci Donald have been dancing together for over 15 years. Bud is retired from a Sanford based company and Nanci is currently teaching at Cameron Elementary.

In 1999 they competed in the North Carolina State Senior Games and won the Gold medal in the Silver Arts program, and again, in 2002 they won the silver medal.

They were members of the Sanford Shag Line Dance Team from 1996-1999. The team competed at Myrtle Beach in the annual National Line Dance competition. This is a two day, two dance competition held in the fall. Their team placed second in the first three years and they finally got it right and placed first in 1999. The 1999 team consisted of couples rather than the mostly all girl combination so it was an easy transition to also enter the Grand National competition Shag Team Competition held in Atlanta in 2000. They placed third and danced in front of approximately 3000 spectators.

In the fall of 2000, Bud and Nanci were invited to be the entertainment for the Opening Ceremonies of the North Carolina State Senior Games. Since that time they have expanded their dancing to include country and ballroom.

They have been teaching Shag Dancing for the past 7 years and added Line Dancing

They currently teach on Tuesdays at the Pinehurst Ballroom.
